Vintage Hammered Cast Iron “Ugly” No. 8 Dutch Oven Restored #8 With Lid. Both Dutch oven and lid have been stripped down to bare metal using electrolysis, and received at least three times using vegetable oil, both pieces are ready to use. Dutch oven is a No. Dutch oven has both the handles on either side, the assist tab and a bail handle. The bail handle can be stiff at times due to the rough casting of the holes, it can be used with the bail handle or without, fail handle can be removed. Both Dutch oven and lid are the hammered pattern, they are made by an unknown American foundry, often referred to as ugly hammered. There are no chips nor cracks, please see pictures. Dutch oven measures 4 in deep, 9.75 in wide, 12.25 in Long with double handles. Top of lid has a raise number eight those are the only identifying markers on it.
