Vintage Cast Aluminum Silver Seal 12 qt Dutch Oven Stock Pot with Bail Lid Rare. This is for a Silver Seal Large dutch oven / stock pot. This is a consignment item and i really do not know too much about the history of this particular item except it is well made and has some weight to it. It is vintage and uses cast aluminum and is made in the USA. The finish is a rough type that is great for keeping scratches from showing The lid is included with this as pictured and has a bail type handle for lifting the entire pot. Some folks have told me that this is a stock pot and others are telling me this is a dutch oven. From making your own soup stocks or slow cooking a stew to using as a canning pot to hold jars for that process. This is a large item and from what i can see is rather rare for its size. Could be detailed and cleaned to look even better and i would suggest using bar keepers friend that really cleans and polishes cooking pots and pans well in my opinion.
