This early Wagner Ware No 10 Dutch oven is in excellent restored condition and dates from 1900 to the 1920s. Were just as fine in quality as any Griswold piece. The cooking surface has hints of utensil scores and an. Of etching from corrosion. The entire cooking surface is near glass smooth to the touch. Four sheets of printer paper slipped under one edge on the bottom stops movement on a granite surface. No chips, cracks or repairs and does not spin. Test for flatness of skillet. With the skillet resting on a polished granite surface, press down all along the top rim searching for movement. If movement is found, slip pieces of printer paper under one edge of the until pot stops moving. Item was stripped down to bare metal using collector approved lye bath and electrolysis treatments. This process insures the removal all residue from previous use making it safe to use once more. Item is well seasoned with several rounds of seasoning. This items were photographed in very bright light to highlight fine details. Under these lighting conditions, item will take on a brown color. Items are much darker under normal light.
